Moonstruck? Looking for the perfect party to bid on?

Posted by Len Gilbert on May 7, 2008

The Piedmont Goes Green Party isn’t putting a slate of candidates out this fall, but they are putting out some good food, beverages, and interesting green topics. Get your bid in for your spot with the “other” Green Party!

If you aren’t familiar with the Spring Fling tri-school fundraiser, this year’s theme is Moonstruck and the proceeds benefit our three elementary schools: Beach, Havens, and Wildwood. Your support is especially important in this year of budget crisis and likely reductions in state funding. Here is a great way to help out and have some fun.

For information about Moonstruck visit the Piedmont Spring Fling website.

Theme: Piedmont Goes Green Party
Date: Saturday, September 27th
Time: 6:30-9:30

Who says going “green” has to be all work and no play? Join us for a fun-filled evening celebrating the national and Piedmont-wide movement for a greener, cleaner and more environmentally sustainable way of life. Enjoy the bounty of the end-of-summer season, as you feast on delicious dishes made with organic, locally and sustainably grown products. We’ll provide an array of local/organic beverages including our signature, soon-to-be famous “Greenmonter” cocktail. But it’s not just about food: We’ll have the answers you’ve been looking for about the practical nitty-gritty of “going green”: What’s the real story with “green” household cleaners? What steps can I take to reduce my household’s carbon footprint? Which plastics are safe for my family and which should we avoid? Where did all this great organic food come from, and how can I get more of it? And door prizes too!

Hosts: Bob and Marianna Houser, Lisa Joyce and Tom Wetherbee, Margaret Ovenden and Don Ashburn, Terry London and Teri Liegler, Jamie Pehanick and Len Gilbert, Jennifer and Dan Cavenaugh, Laura and Bob Katter, Michelle and Dale Turner, Tracey Woodruff and Andy Madeira, Sue Lin and Reuben Rivera
Number of guests: 60

Sign-up now before the party is full! Visit the Moonstruck website, click RSVP, Shop, and Donate, then Parent Parties, then PA 709 – Piedmont Goes Green Party.
