Oakland Urban Paths – Oakmore Walk

Posted by Len Gilbert on March 4, 2013

Join the Oakland Urban Paths group this Saturday, March 9th to Explore Oakmore (and the Bridgeview Trail above Sausal Creek).

From the OAP email news:

A bridge, a redwood tree, a stair, a view, a creek, great people…it’s another walk with Oakland Urban Paths. This walk will reprise our successful jaunt from last year and we’ll also get to check out a restoration work party hosted by the Friends of Sausal Creek.

  • This strenuous 5-mile walk includes stairs and hills. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring water and snacks.
  • Meet in front of Rocky’s Market at 10:00am. We will return to Rocky’s by 12:30, in time to grab lunch at nearby Red Boy Pizza or head off to your next engagement.
  • Heavy rain cancels, light rain doesn’t.
  • Dogs OK! (please only bring dogs that can make the entire walk)

As usual, we’ll have a variety of cool Oakland walking goods for sale including Walk Oakland Maps, the Secret Stairs of the East Bay book and authentic OUP shirts.

Thanks to all who joined us for our February Lakeshore to Park Boulevard walk. Check out a write-up, pics and route map on our website
